Former F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen made his NASCAR cup debut this Saturday at Watkins Glen International in the qualifiers and practice for Sunday’s main event Go Bowling at The Glen, the 2.5 miles road course race. The Iceman made his cup entry via POROJECT91, an ambitious plan launched by Trackhouse Racing with NASCAR’s international exposure as the primary goal.

The qualifying run in the No:91 Chevy Camaro ZL1 saw the ‘Finnish’ driver finishing way behind at P27, which is low compared to his teammates Ross Chastain who finished P18, and Daniel Suarez, who finished P9. But the fun fact is Kim Raikkonen had a fantastic rum as he finished better than seven cup series regulars, including Aric Almirola of SHR and Christopher Bell of JGR.
