Xfinity driver Riley Herbst set to drive for Front Row Motorsports in the regular season Cup finale at Daytona
Riley Herbst will make his third Cup Series career start in Daytona this weekend.

Riley Herbst, the full-time Stewart-Haas Racing NASCAR Xfinity Series driver, drives part-time in the Cup Series for Rick Ware Racing and Front Row Motorsports (FRM). The 24-year-old will pilot the No.36 Ford Mustang for FRM this weekend. Herbst will start the third Cup race of his career in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.
According to Austin Konenski from Motorsports Wire, Riley Herbst will pilot the No.36 Ford alongside the No. 34 driver Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland. He shared on X (Formerly known as Twitter), “BREAKING: Riley Herbst will drive the No. 36 car for Front Row Motorsports in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway.”
The Las Vegas, Nevada native Riley Herbst made his NASCAR Cup debut in the No.15 Ford for Rick Ware Racing at the season opener, the Daytona 500. Herbst finished 10th despite his involvement in a multi-car wreck late in the race.
It will be a full circle for him as he will compete on the same track (Daytona International Speedway) this weekend for the regular Cup season finale. Herbst is among the only five NASCAR drivers to secure a top-10 finish in their first start in the National Series, Cup, Xfinity, and Truck.

Herbst, who drives the No. 98 Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing, is 10th in the overall Xfinity Series point standings. The 24-year-old is on the hunt for his first career win. Apart from his Daytona 500 Cup debut, Herbst competed in the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway and finished 20th. He will now focus on preparing for the Cup finale this weekend.
Riley Herbst is one of the five Xfinity drivers who called for the final Cup race before the playoffs. The others are Austin Hill, Josh Berry, Brennan Poole, and Chandler Smith. Herbst will hope to have a solid finish and prove himself if he wants to pursue a full-time Cup career. This is an opportunity for him to show his worth.
Riley Herbst spoke about his upcoming Xfinity run in Daytona. He revealed that he loves the track and is excited. Following the Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola is the Darlington race. Herbst claimed it is a unique and fun track and confessed he was excited. However, his third Cup race is sandwiched between the Xfinity races at Daytona and Darlington. There is no doubt it’s going to be a hectic weekend for Herbst.
