Darwin Benjamin Jerrold McLeod aka B.J. McLeod sports the No.78 Ford Mustang as a part-time Cup Series driver for Live Fast Motorsports, a team that he co-owns and also owns his own team B.J. McLeod Motorsports may not be the most successful driver in terms of racing but he is definitely a heavily respected personality and the most admired person in the sport and he is someone who everybody loves to be around.
It is in the air that people usually misinterpret the kind of person B.J. McLeod is with his love for the color black and metal jewelry with apparel which has skulls and flames imprinted on them and he is also a team-owner who does everything that he can with a budget that is light on the pockets that is highly appreciated by NASCAR and he is also an avid listener and a quiet person who contributes anything unless it is very valuable and increases productivity or has advantages and for these various reasons, he is widely known in the sport.

“I want to prove that I’m a contender,” B.J. McLeod still strives to improve after all that he has achieved
B.J. McLeod might not have many wins behind the wheel but out of his car he has won many hearts and still does with the efforts he puts in to make it come true and he is one of those out there who doesn’t seem to be backing down on that till he achieves it and he is aware of the fact that one can still be a winner without any victories and he has already succeeded at that and he still tries to make his childhood dream of a NASCAR win true.
“I want to prove that I’m a contender, I know once you get to this level, you can be 20th and be a winner. You can be 30th and be a winner. But I just want to prove that I could be a contender in the right equipment with the right circumstances. Even if it’s only one for one race. Because once you are, the people around can see that, and that’s what I’ve always tried to do,” said B.J. McLeod.
NASCAR’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve O’ Donnell also had aspiring words to say about McLeod as he called him incredible for his skills, thought process, and his way of approach to several things and he also said that people usually misunderstand his nature because by his appearance and he heavily respects him for the kind of ideas and determination he has towards improving the sport.
“You probably underestimate B.J. at first. You see him in the Cup Series or the Xfinity Series probably finishing toward the back, and you make assumptions about B.J. that are completely untrue, and then when you sit down with him and you talk about the business and where we want to go as a sport, he’s got some of the best ideas I’ve heard,” said Steve O’ Donnell.
He further added by saying that he is a fan of McLeod for the point of view he has for the future of the sport which Steve thinks is impossible for a driver and an owner to have and he concluded by saying that if more people got to know B.J. McLeod the way Steve does, he’d be super super popular and he also digs the way he dresses up and thinks he’s amazing.
“He’s got great perspective. When he talks to you about where he’d like to see the sport go, he’s all in. It’s really hard for a driver and an owner to think broadly about the sport. I think he’s a cool guy. I think that if more people got to know him, he’d be a superstar. Because he’s a really cool guy, a smart guy, and a great racer. And he’s got the cool look when he’s walking, the dude is a badass,” concluded Steve O’ Donnell.
B.J. McLeod might not be a winner behind the wheel, but he has already achieved something that no other driver can ever do in the sport.
