NASCAR has continued to grow in popularity and demand, especially among young audiences. To cater to the incoming audience, iRacing Studios recently released the 2025 version of the sport, titled NASCAR 25. The driver ratings in the game were one of the major talking points, as many fans and drivers did not sit right with the questionable ratings for some of them. Now, Noah Gragson fires some shots at the awkward rating, especially for his own character.
Noah Gragson has endured a difficult outing in the 2025 season after he achieved only one top-five and three top-ten finishes. Gragson currently stands P34 in the driver’s standings following mediocre outings and seven DNFs in the races. As such, the 27-year-old was rated 71 out of 100 in the game, meaning that he was ranked No. 31 out of 47 total drivers.
A rating of 71 isn’t really impressive, but it seemed fair, keeping in mind the difficulties Noah Gragson endured in the 2025 season. However, he wasn’t too impressed by this and lashed out at the iRacing Studios for the same. Gragson insisted that he did not really care about his ratings in the game, but still put forth some contrasting opinions on the game.
Noah Gragson questioned why the best driver in NASCAR currently wasn’t rated 100 because he was better than the rest of the drivers. The FRM star noted that the ratings did not really matter at the end of the day, but whoever was responsible for assigning the ratings did a ‘bad job’ according to him. Gragson reiterated that he did not care for his 71 rating and wouldn’t care either if it was higher or lower.
I don’t really care about that, It’s just you look at who is the best driver in our sport right now? Then why isn’t he 100 overall? It doesn’t really matter at the end of the day, but whoever the guy or girl was that did it, they did a bad job, in my opinion, but I personally don’t care if I’m a 71. I made a joke about it saying, ‘Oh, dang. I’m kind of trash. Is that me?’

Noah Gragson claims NASCAR 25 ratings ‘don’t make sense’
The NASCAR 25 game must have used some of its own algorithms and statistics in order to rate the drivers and give them whatever rating they got. Notably, William Byron received a clean 100/100 rating following his dominant results in the 2025 season, with Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson following in second and third. Despite seemingly fair ratings, Noah Gragson spoke candidly about the ratings and how they did not really make sense.

Noah Gragson insisted that the ratings weren’t factually correct and were based on real-life performances of the drivers. He pointed out that he wasn’t even talking about his rating being higher or lower, or the other drivers receiving more or fewer points than they deserved.
However, Gragson believed that the ratings did not really make sense. Apart from this, the FRM driver declared that the rest of the game was really good and deserved a lot of praise for the racing aspect, minus the driver ratings.
I just don’t think the facts were really real on anybody’s stats, not even saying mine were low or high or anybody else’s was low or high, it just didn’t really make sense when we were doing it, but the rest of the game is really, really good.
Noah Gragson noted
The 2025 season is nearing completion with the championship finale at Phoenix inching closer. Noah Gragson will definitely come up with a much better performance in the coming season and will hope to have better ratings in the NASCAR 26 game, if it is in the works. For now, Gragson will focus on the rest of the season and salvaging any and all points possible.
