Popstar Pitbull has decided to end his partnership with Chevy NASCAR team Trackhouse Racing, surprising the whole racing community.

Since making their debut in 2021 season with Daniel Suarez in the No:99 Chevy, Trackhouse Racing has been one of the trailblazers of the sport. In four years, they have grown into a championship front runners, with three full-time cars in the battle going into the 2025 season. They also have produced influential initiatives like the Project 91, as well as expansion into MotoGP and IMSA.
Racer turned co-owner Justin Marks’ leadership played a significant role in the teams’ growth and he had the strong support from his co-owner Pitbull. The pop culture icon has now decided to abruptly end his partnership with Trackhouse, just two days before the 2025 season opener, the Daytona 500. He announced this decision via his official X handle.

The $100 million worth artist didn’t explain why the decided to immediately cut ties. Still he is looking forward to seeing how the Trackhouse Racing drivers will perform on Sunday in the Great American Race, adding it’s a true owner to have a relationship with the team.

The leader of Trackhouse Racing, Justin Marks shared his feelings about the decision from his partner and pointed put that Pitbulls NASCAR journey is a great business story. He pointed out that with his team scaling up its racing ventures and adding new partners, Pitbull took the opportunity to make the exit, taking rewards for his impact.

The announcement from Pitbull was clearly unexpected and the Trackhouse PR team should have done a better job with the timing of it, as it came just two days before the Daytona 500. If it was a sudden decision from the Singer, there might be some factor NASCAR and the team should look into, to avoid similar situation in the future.
