RCR set to field a third car for multiple drivers in 2025 Cup season
NSASCAR Hall of Famer team owner Richard Childress is set to field multiple cars for multiple drivers with RCR in the 2025 season.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been really hard on Richard Childress Racing, with Austin Dillon’s controversial race win from Richmond being the only triumph. Both of their drivers missed out on the playoffs, with mistakes from the crew and racers ruining the handful of opportunity they got to secure wins.
But despite these struggles, the team is getting ready for the 2025 season and has announced that they will be fielding a third car for multiple races, for multiple racers. They are expecting this change help them to bounce back strong next year. They have also announced some big changes to their crew chief line-up, with Andy Street getting the responsibility of the third team.

One of the drivers that is going to be racing in the third RCR car will be Will Brown, the reigning Supercars champion. He has announced that he would be racing in two events this season and is also interested racing in the Chicago Street race. It will be interesting to see who will be the other drivers that will get an opportunity in the RCR cars.
Richard Childress explains his hopes for the third car’s crew chief
The teams’ Hall of Fame team owner Richard Childress has explained his hopes for the new crew chief of their new operation. He is hoping that Andy Street, with his wealth of knowledge, can build something new while also gaining Next-Gen car experience for the future. He would also remain in the Xfinity Series support system as well.
The comment from Childress shows the latest decisions from RCR are made with the whole future of the team being the main focus. It would be interesting to see how the new team and crew chief will perform in the 2025 season.
