NASCAR reveals four new Hall of Fame nominees for the 2023 class
Getting into the Hall of Fame of any sport is a recognition of the amount of hard work and dedication put in by the individual to excel at the event alongside promoting the sport among the masses. NASCAR Hall of Fame is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was commissioned in 2010 to honor drivers who have shown expert skill at NASCAR driving, all-time great crew chiefs and owners, broadcasters, and other major contributors to competition within the sanctioning body.
Every year NASCAR will announce a 15 group nominees list and from that, a group of 3 will be inducted to the hall of fame through the ballot. A total of 58 individuals so far have been inducted into the NASCAR hall of fame out of which 43 inductees were drivers in which 24 of whom were inducted solely as drivers and the rest 19 were inducted for their accomplishments as drivers, owners, and/or broadcasters. Other than drivers 8 owners, 4 promoters, and 4 crew chiefs were also inducted.
Now NASCAR has announced 4 additional nominees to the 2023 class who will join Banjo Matthews, Hershel McGriff, and Ralph Moody. And many others as nominees. A panel of 62 voting members will meet to cast ballots for the 2023 Hall of Fame class next month. Two names will be selected from the Modern Era Ballot and a third selected from the Pioneer Ballot.
