The NASCAR community has witnessed another tragedy in the month of December, just weeks after the plane crash that took the life of Greg Biffle and family. Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin lost his father Dennis Hamlin in a house fire in their Stanley, North Carolina while his mother MaryLou Hamlin is in the hospital.
Seven times NASCAR Cup Series champion Richard Petty shared his thoughts on the tragedy with a statement on social media. On a post on X, he shared extended the prayers and support to the whole Denny Hamlin family. Alongside offering the Petty family’s condolences, they also shared prayers for quick healing of Mrs. Hamlin who is in Winston-Salem hospital.

Another major NASCSAR figure that share their thoughts on the tragedy was Noah Gragson of Front Row Motorsports. He admitted that the last few weeks of December has been pretty challenging and tough for the NASCAR community. He also shared his love for everyone in the stock car racing community.

The three times Daytona 500 champions’ Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Chase Briscoe shared his thoughts on the tragedy. He shared his love and prayers for the Hamlin family over the loss of their patriarch.

The whole racing family is heartbroken over the back-to-back loss that is affecting the community. The comments from the racer and veterans’ shows that feelings. NASCAR and Denny Hamlin lost one of the biggest supporters of the sport.
