NASCAR Hall of Fame owner Rick Hendrick has shared the impact of Jeff Gordon on his team and how he helped them succeed.

Hendrick Motorsports chairman Rick Hendrick and vice chairman Jeff Gordon shares a special relationship. The Hall of Famers’ partnership started when the Gordon signed with HMS in 1992, after making waves in the junior divisions. He went onto win four championships with team, defeating the likes of Bill Elliott and Dale Earnhardt.
With 93 cup race wins to his name Jeff Gordon is the most successful HMS racer in history alongside seven times champion Jimmie Johnson, who the former signed to HMS. Alongside helping Hendrick sign Johnson, leading the No:24 team, the legendary racer has also made many significant contributions to the sport.
In a recent episode of the Business of Motorsports podcast, Rick Hendrick explained that having Gordon around was a fun, considering his great business head. He highlighted that the veteran has played a significant role in building chemistry within the team. Gordon helped to make the team winners, adding more professionalism and the character to the organization.
