It’s been fun. Jeff Gordon always had a great business head on his shoulder. He was always good at business. He knew the organization so well and I go back to that chemistry and that being able to grow people from the inside and character is huge and when people come visit that place, they talk about the professionalism and the character of the company. And Jeff Gordon is a big part of that.

That to me is the most rewarding part of what I do, is seeing people excel, and William Byron, Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott, growing up to be who he is, having Dale Earnhardt Jr. with me and you to build our business together, both automotive and racing. So that’s the satisfcation I get, just seeing things develop.

The comment from Hendrick shows how much he cherishes the legacy he has built with Hendrick Motorsports over the years. It would be interesting to see what more the Gordon-Hendrick duo can contribute towards NASCAR.
