NASCAR veteran Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has finally sold his luxurious estate in a massive multi-million dollar deal. The 37-year-old had to wait for almost three years for the property to be sold, having first listed it on the market in 2022.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Stenhouse’s estate was sold for $12.2 million, over three million less than the initial asking price of $15.995 million. The property is located near Lake Norman, in Mooresville, North Carolina. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had purchased the house all the way back in 2013 for just $3.8 million. Thus, this sale was certainly a great deal for the Hyak Motorsports star.

Though, things were not so easy. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and his wife Madyson Joye Stenhouse were planning to relist the estate after waiting for years for a good offer. Luckily, the right buyer came at the right time, with an all-cash offer as per Corcoran HM Properties, the firm representing the couple. The identity of the buyer has not been revealed to the public, albeit it is known that they are not a NASCAR driver.

The gorgeous estate includes all the amenities of a luxurious home, while its proximity to Lake Norman, makes it a perfect site. The house was built over two decades ago, with an area of 9,100 square feet and five bedrooms. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had renovated the backyard after spending a million dollars in adding two swimming pools alongside other additions.

Interestingly, another NASCAR star, Martin Truex Jr. is selling his property near Lake Norman as well. The former Cup Series champion has listed his mansion for $7.3 million.

The 37-year-old revealed that he recently faced such a situation. During the Coca Cola 600, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was feeling incredibly hot inside his car, but was not sweating as normal. Stenhouse recalled that he had hydrated himself as usual, and thus felt the urge to relieve himself. However, the Hyak Motorsports driver claimed that he decided not to do this till he went to a restroom after the race.

Couple weeks ago, man I really needed to go to the bathroom. It was during the Coke 600. I wasn’t sweating enough, I wasn’t super-hot and I had hydrated a lot and it kind of bit me but I couldn’t tell myself to do it.
