The Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart hosted by the EchoPark Speedway witnessed some of the wildest moments of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. It featured two big incidents, both of which caused by Joe Gibbs Racing drivers and ruined races of Ford’s championship winning drivers. Ryan Blaney was one of the big victims of the day.
Towards the end of stage one No:20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota of Starman Christopher Bell spun out in front of the traffic and last season’s winner of the event caused a major wreck. It took out the likes of Austin Dillon, Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace, Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson and AJ Allmendinger among many other drivers.
One of the racers that was hurt the most due to the incident was Ryan Blaney, who wrecked out and ended up finishing P40, losing the in-season bracket challenge. He admitted that he is getting fed up with getting caught up in other people’s mess in the 2025 season that is ruining the No:12 Ford chances of fighting for second Cup title.
I couldn’t see much. As soon as they started spinning and coming down, I tried to get to the apron and finally got there and got blocked. Story of our year: Getting caught up in other people’s garbage. As soon as I feel like we get it going pretty good and find some momentum, we never really seem to have things going our way.
Ryan Blaney said via NBC Sports.
Further talking about the point, the veteran who started the race on P3, he pointed out that he has already moved on from the incident and is looking forward to the upcoming street race at Chicago, which demands more hard work from him. The team has to improve their car’s performance in the dirty air and if they can do that, the No:12 Ford will be competitive.
Tried to flip the stage and was right in the middle of it. Stinks and that’s the way it goes sometimes. We’ll be back and go at it in Chicago next week. I definitely thought we could improve (the car) in dirty air, but I was excited to work through it during the night and never got the chance.

Ryan Blaney’s teammate Joey Logano experienced the same fate
Joey Logano started the race on Pole position on Sunday that made him a contender for the victory, only to get caught in the big wreck of the day that was triggered by Denny Hamlin and collected 22 cars. He has no idea how he get caught up in the mess and admitted that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I was in the middle of it, so I haven’t seen a replay yet to know what happened. Cars are sideways, and you get in the brakes, and everyone is just running into each other. Just a speedway wreck, especially with everyone so tight on the restart. Wrong place at the wrong time.
Joey Logano said.
He was gunning for winning and is really disappointed failing to event finish the race after getting caught up in the unfortunate incident. What more disappointing is the fact that despite having string cars, none of the Team Penske racers hasn’t even finished inside the top-35.
We tried to win the stage and unfortunately didn’t’ get that done, and then you have to pay the piper and go to the back. It’s unfortunate that it happens. The Penske cars were so strong, so fast. It’s part of the game sometimes. Sometimes you’re the ball, sometimes you’re the bat. Today we’re the ball.
Joey Logano added.
This was a day to forget for the Ford and Penske garage. The disappointment is sure going to put pressure on the team to work hard and redeem themselves in the coming week at Chicago Street, It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver.
