Team Penkse star Ryan Blaney is having a mixed bag of a season in NASCAR this time around. The 31-year-old has managed to bag a single victory in the Cup Series this season. On the other hand, there have been a string of poor results. The last race in Sonoma turned into a nightmare for Blaney who lashed out following a DNF. Now, the No. 12 driver has hit out at haters on social media.
During the Sonoma race, Ryan Blaney was forced to retire the car after an incident with RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher. The Team Penske driver was far from happy and expressed his feelings on the team radio.
Though, one X user claimed that Blaney had built a reputation of all words and no action. The fan asserted that the 31-year-old would never actually get back at his rivals no matter how bad things were for him on-track. This is a rather odd comment, considering anger control is a major quality that everyone must learn.
Ryan Blaney responded to the hater on the social media platform. He claimed that his upbringing was done correctly. The No. 12 driver asserted that he knows he shouldn’t try to wreck anyone which ultimately ruins the weekend for an entire garage crew. Blaney insisted that his rants were a way to vent out his frustration before letting go. The Team Penske star admitted that he can’t change this part of himself, no matter how people see it from the outside.
Maybe it’s because I was raised correctly and don’t wreck people and put the guys who work on this stuff for hours on end in a tough spot. Yes I get upset in the moment but it’s a way to vent and let things go. I do wish I wasn’t that way and people didn’t judge me for it but it’s who I am unfortunately.

Ryan Blaney reveals ‘Star Wars’ dream
Ryan Blaney is one of the few NASCAR drivers who love to be on the big screen. The 31-year-old was part of Disney Pixar’s iconic ‘Cars 3’ as a spoof character in 2017. Later on, he even appeared on the NASCAR-based Netflix sitcom, ‘The Crew.’ However, there is one franchise that Blaney desperately wants to be a part of.

The Team Penske driver revealed that he just has one dream for Hollywood, to be featured in the franchise, ‘Star Wars.’ Ryan Blaney is a big fan of the science fiction series. So much so, that he wants to be a part of the next film of the franchise in any way, even as a stormtrooper. The next Star Wars film is set to hit cinemas in May 2026, and it is unlikely that Blaney will be featured as shooting is already underway.
I’ve tried so hard to be…like, man, I want to be in one of those Star Wars movies so bad. Like, make me a stormtrooper, put a helmet [on me]…you don’t even have to see my face. Kill me. You can kill me. That’s fine.

Certainly, Ryan Blaney is one of the most interesting personalities in the NASCAR field. The 31-year-old prefers to stay away from off-track conflicts once he calms down. Rather, the Team Penske driver tries to enjoy his life whenever he is not on racing duty, particularly with his love for films.
