WATCH: Ryan Blaney celebrates Iowa Corn 350 win with friends and family on the victory lane
Ryan Blaney is happy to secure his first win of the 2024 season.

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway so Team Penske Racing’s Ryan Blaney making history as he became the first ever Cup race champion at the track. It also assured him a place in the playoffs which he was dreading for a long-time in the 2024 season. The win was more special for him as there were a lot off supporters pulling for them.
A group of over 80 individuals were at Iowa Speedway supporting Ryan Blaney. They were the family members and friends of the Ford Mustang driver. It was the second time they were making the trip, as they came to support him during his Xfinity years a decade ago. They went on to join him the victory lane to lift the trophy and celebrate the win together.

While talking about the media after the win, Blaney explained how great the win was for him and his family. He pointed out that its really special for him to win a race, which means a lot to his mother and with a lot of people cheering for him in the stands. The Ford driver also appreciated the support he got from the No:12 team.
What a cool way to win here. This place means a lot to me and means a lot to my mom. We had a lot of people here tonight cheering us on, so they willed us to that one. Overall, I really appreciate the whole 12 boys.

While further talking about the win, the Ford driver pointed out that towards the end of the race at Iowa he started to struggle a bit. But he had enough gap to the HMS cars behind him to hold on till the end to secure a win he can be proud of.
I mean, our car was really fast all night and we got a little bit better through the night and two tires was a good call there. I didn’t know how well I was gonna hold on. I started to struggle a little bit at the end, but had enough to hang on. I’m super proud of the effort. … It makes up a little bit from a couple weeks ago.Ryan Blaney said.
The win has given the Penske driver the much-needed confidence to defend is championship after having a rough start to the season. This would also help Penske to also help Joey Logano to also get into the playoff with a win.
