I was hurt for a little bit, but I think I will be okay. I am alright. I saw Martin (Truex Jr.) get loose, and I thought he was going to spin to the bottom, so I kind of gassed up to get around him, but it was just terrible timing.
Ryna Blaney said.

He further stated that Truex Jr. overcorrected in his attempt get the car stay on the track and that was the instance that ruined the timing. Blaney admitted that he hates being part of a wreck on just the second ever lap of the race.

He overcorrected, and we were just right there. Gosh, I hate wrecking on Lap 2. It is one of those things where you think he is going to spin to the bottom, but his rear is hooked up but he just came up.
Ryan Blaney added.

The veteran duo surviving with no major consequences proved that they have luck on their side going into the playoff. They should now tap into it and try to be in the front raw every race to maximize the results.
