The 2025 season so far hasn’t been kind to Team Penske Racing’s Ryan Blaney. He hasn’t had the dominant and consistent runs he is known for in the first five events. So, coming into Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, he was hoping for a redemption run only to getting wrecked with 73 laps left in the race.
Ryan Blaney found himself in a four wide battle with Noah Gragson, Christopher Bell and his best friend Bubba Wallace in a restart. The FRM car made contact with him, making him spin out and crash. The 2023 Cup champion was moved to the infield care center soon after and later released him after the inspections.

The veteran Ford driver was furious over the wreck and as normal went on radio rant, which was targeted at the No:20 Toyota driver Christopher Bell, who he though was the root cause of his wreck. He accused the JGR driver of shoving into the middle lane without thinking about anyone in the racing alongside him.
The f*cking 20 just shoves it in the middle… He has no regard for anybody… I don’t know.
Ryan Blaney said on team radio (Via Dustin Albino).
Ryan Blaney later took the blame for the wreck
Once he was released from the infield care centre and he had a good look at what happened. That’s when he realized, he might have judged the No:20 drivers too early amidst the adrenalin rush and admitted that it was his mistake that caused the incident.

Blaney pointed out that, he thought he was racing with two cars in his inside and one outside before the incident. But it was the other way around and this made him admit that it might have been his mistake that caused the incident. He also put some blame on the communications for the incident.
We were four-wide there, and honestly I thought I had two inside, one outside of me. I watched one little replay, and I had two outside, one inside. We’ll have to go back and gotta see if I heard it wrong or if there was some miscommunication. …It was probably my fault. I gotta go back to see if I heard it wrong or it was communicated wrong, so I have to go back and look.
Ryan Blaney told Fox Sports.

The comments from Blaney shows the comments from him via radio was one of the many rants from him that the fans have seen over the years. This isn’t going to make any change how Blaney is going to act in the race car as the season progresses.
Ryan Blaney shared his approach towards upcoming Homestead race
Further talking about how the race played out for him, Ryan Blaney pointed out that it was a long weekend for him and it hurt to get in the wreck after they finally got into the top-5. He is now going to take the positives from the weekend, going into the upcoming race week.

Long weekend for our (team). Thought our car was really good, finally got up into the top five there and then wrecked… You try to take the best you can out of it even though it just ended poorly.
Ryan Blaney said.
The 2023 Cup champion’s words shows he is shifting his focus to the upcoming weekend already as he should and is ready to fight for race wins again. Homestead has been a good track for Penske in the Next-Gen era, so it will be interesting to see if the event will be the momentum changer he needs.
