Team Penske Racing’s Ryan Blaney is one of the biggest names in the current NASCAR Cup garage. He won the 2023 championship and has established himself as one of the hardest racers to beat with his controlled aggressive racing style. Recently the veteran shared his thoughts on his racing style and how he approaches dules with different types of racers.
The No:12 Ford Mustang driver has always been someone that races clean and other than a handful moments, where he loses his cool, he has never been involved in serious incidents. Some even argue that many in the garage often takes advantage of this nature of the Penske driver, as they know Ryan Blaney will be racing them fairly.
There’s always this discussion about it’s been brought up specifically about me like, ‘Hey, do you think guys take advantage of you because you race a certain way and maybe they feel like they can take more of an advantage of you’
Ryan Blaney said, via a NASCAR Media Call (Speedwaymedia.com).
There is solid reason why he always races his rivals with the same level respect he wants them to show them. His father Dave Blaney, a former racer with series race experience in his bag, always gave one advice to his, give respect while racing with the hope that he will get it back from the rivals. He was asked to always be like that regardless of race dynamic.
And I don’t know. My dad taught me at a young age when I was getting going that you give respect and you hope to get it back. I’ve tried to be really respectful, no matter what it is – when I was a rookie…
Ryan Blaney added.
Further talking about the point, Blaney asserted that he has always been respectful on the track and declared that being a rough person isn’t part of his nature. His dad, as well as all the mentors he has had from his late model racing days taught him to be respectful on the track. He has taken that advice to heart and is still following it.
…As I’ve been in it for a while, I try to be respectful and it’s just not in my nature to be the rough guy. That’s just not how I was raised. That’s not how my dad taught me to race. It’s not how the guys I grew up racing late models around raced. We all respected one another.
Ryan Blaney asserted.
Ryan Blaney is looking for an impressive win at New Hampshire
The Penske garage is coming to the New Hampshire race this weekend determined to end the Joe Gibbs Racing winning streak, as the TRD team swept the R-16. He always wanted to be in the victory lane and is looking forward to holding the big lobster the winner gets after the race. Blaney also wants to cherish these moments with passionate racing fans.

I’ve always wanted all that lobster in Victory Lane. It’s one of the coolest traditions. I really enjoy New Hampshire. I love the area. It’s gorgeous up there, especially in September, everything’s starting to change, and the fans up here are just incredibly passionate about Motorsports.

The comments from the former champion shows how much he wants to win the race, which could earn him a place in the next round, as well as increase Penske’s chances of continuing the Next-Gen era domination. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the No:12 team in the coming events.
