The whole NASCAR community is mourning the death of Greg Biffle and his family, alongside other three passengers at North Carolina. They were killed in a tragic plane crash at Statesville, while on birthday trip to Florida. It marked yet another heartbreaking aviation accident in the NASCAR racing industry.
Former NASCAR driver Ryan Newman, who shared many legendary moments with Greg Biffle, when both the racers were racing in their prime recently shared his thoughts on the tragedy. He shared the best way to honor the legend, as he highlighted that the whole community should continue to pay it forward like the veteran thought them.
The best thing and the coolest thing that we can do to honor him is to continue to pay it forward in the way that he did.
Ryan Newman told Frontstretch.
It’s the most respectful tribute that can be given to the veteran, who is known for his humanitarian efforts. He made national headlines with his relief efforts after the hurricane Helene, where he used his personal helicopter for airlifting things and help the people in need, while also coordinating efforts throughout the area.
Ryan Newman shares a special Greg Biffle story
Many drivers have been sharing their Greg Biffle stories after the tragedy. Ryan Newman shared a heartfelt story, and it happened during the Hurricane Helene relief. One of his friends wanted a Starlink from Biffle and he asked Newman’s help to get it.

The simplest story I’ve got is that I had a friend that was working with another group in the mountains, and they needed a Starlink. My friend called me and said, ‘Hey, you think you can get one of them Starlinks from Biffle?’
Ryan Newman said.
The veteran racer called up Biffle and asked for it. The late racing legend didn’t even hesitate, as he asked them to just come to his place and pick it up, as he trusted Newman to use it for the right place as well as the right people.
I called Biffle up. Biffle answered, he said, ‘Yeah, just come and pick it up.’ It wasn’t like he needed to write down the serial number or anything else. He knew, and he trusted me.
Ryan Newman added.
The veteran then went onto highlight the significant efforts Biffle made to help the family after the hurricane and asserted that there won’t be another humanitarian as decorated as the ex-Rousch racing driver in NASCAR.
The amount of work that he did for those families, I don’t think you could ever decorate the humanitarianism, the level of humanitarianism that he did that was so selfless. He just did it because he knew it was the right thing to do, and it was also what he enjoyed.
Ryan Newman asserted.
The comment from the legendary racer seems rational and on point. NASCAR can give a tribute to the late racer with starting a charity or humanitarian project in his name, and full fill the goals he left unfinished.
