The charter lawsuit filed by 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports is exposing a lot of senior NASCAR personals, with multiple text messages among the leadership getting leaked. The most recent set of texts, from 2023 and 2024 seems to be targeting Hall of Fame RCR team owner Richard Childress.  

In one of the text messages revealed, the co-owner of Spire Motorsports, Jeff Dickerson insulting seven times Cup champion Richard Childress. He was infuriated with the RCR owner for hosting the sitting US President Donld Trump, who was a candidate back them, as his guest for the 2024 Coca-Cola 600. He called the legend a c**k for the political involvement. The document mentioned seems to regarding the charter negations or the Team Owner Agreement.

These weren’t the only insulting comments targeting the championship winning team boss. In another set of text messages leaked, the President and first Commissioner of NASCAR, Steve Phelps was found insulting Childress, back in August 2023. He branded the legendary figure as a stupid redneck, who needs to be punished. They even plot to penalize RCR for the drama.

Did you give them some sense of how bad things are out there? Childress needs to be taken out back and flogged. He’s a stupid redneck who owes his entire fortune to NASCAR [sic].

In the same conversation, he called the veteran self-serving and idiot, supposedly for taking a stand against the premier stock car racing leadership, despite the fact that he gave almost his whole life to the sport. He wanted that the HOF to sell his charters and quit the sport, if he has issues with the direction of the sport.

These guys are short sighted and self serving. Childress is an idiot. If they don’t like the state of the sport, sell you [sic] charter and get out.

Jeremy Mayfield slams NASCAR leadership over Richard Childres insult

The whole NASCAR community was shocked and embarrassed about the disrespect shows to the legendary racing figure. One of NASCAR’s blacklisted stars, Jeremy Mayfield took it social media to call out the leadership. He knowns how toxic they can be, owing the controversial battles he has had in the court with NASCAR in the past.

The comments from the NASCAR leaders and the team owners shows clear disrespect that shouldn’t be tolerated by the racing community. Fans should hold them accountable and demand at least an apology. The only group of people that can take advantage of the situation is 23XI-FRM lawyers, as they can use the dram to make favourable case for themselves in the court as well as among the public.
