Now he finally would have off weekend and the veteran racer has some plans for it.

Tony Stewart took over his wife Leah Pruett seat in the top drag racing tier, as she was stepping away from racing to have a baby boy with the former Cup champion. He pointed out that he isn’t going to layback and sit at home watching the Olympic on TV as he actually doesn’t care much about. Instead, he wants to hang out with cool people in his circle and enjoy the time with them, before getting back on the track yet again with hopes of consistently coming out on the top.

We have a weekend off, I said, you don’t think I’m going to sit at home and watch TV? I don’t give two sh*ts about the Olympics. I’d rather come race and hang out with some cool people.
Tony Stewart heard saying in the video.

Tony Stewart’s NASCAR exit might help RCR

Tony Stewart is set to exit NASCAR as a team owner t the end of the season. He and co-owner Gene Haas will sell three of their teams while the latter will keep one and operate it under the brand of Haas Factory team from next-season. This exit has put a lot of talented engineers and team leaders in the market as free agents.

RCR, who has been struggling to extract performance from their cars since mid-way to the 2023 session is reportedly set to sign Greg Zipadelli as the new competition director. According to NASCAR expert Kyle Dalton this might be the change the team desperately needed to get back contending for race wins.

I have to think a new set of eyes coming in and more importantly, a pair that has been part of multiple championships with Tony Stewart and has been at SHR for more than a dozen years, including the 2014 Cup Series championship and 56 wins, can only help.
Kyle Dalton said.

RCR will not be the only team that would benefit from the SHR ending. Teams such as Spire Motorsports and FRM has signed driver and top crew members from SHR. It would be interesting to see how the SHR exodus would shape NASCAR next-season.
