The NASCAR community is heartbroken over the Statesville Regional Airport private jet crash. Former Truck and Busch series champion Greg Biffle lost his life in the crash alongside his wife Cristina, daughter Emma, and son Ryder. The incident also claimed the lives of Dennis Dutton and son Jack, alongside Craig Wadsworth.

Three times NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart, who has been a close associate of Greg Biffle was one of the latest NASCAR personalities to share their grief about the tragedy. They have shared some big moments on the track, with the highlight being the 2005 championship battle, which Stewart won after a tough battle with the late great.

The veteran racer took it to express his thoughts, with a heartfelt message sharing his condolences with the family. He admitted that the tragedy has broken his heart and he is finding it hard to accept the fact that the whole Biff family was taken far too soon. Just like everyone in the garage, Stewart called the late racer a great driver and a greater person.

Still trying to wrap my head around this. Greg, Cristina, Emma, and Ryder were taken far too soon. My heart breaks for their entire circle. Biff was a hell of a driver on the track, but an even better man off it.

It broke the heart of the veteran racer, as Biffle was one of the his most favorite teammates. He is also angry with the fact that over the years, plane crash has taken lives of some the best personalities in the sport.

I can’t help feeling angry. Aviation is a very safe way to travel BUT has been savage to our racing community and families throughout history.

The sport lost the likes of Curtis Turner, Davey Allison, Alan Kulwicki and Ricky Hendrick to aviation accidents, a trend that isn’t seen in any other sports. Mark Martin has also suffered a massive personal loss as in 1998, Martin’s father, stepmom, and half-sister were killed in a plane crash. The social media rant was the product his pure emotion over losing loved ones.

On his social media page, Mark Martin also reshared videos of Biffle winning races against him and named him his favorite teammate. Earlier when the new about the tragedy was broken by the media, he recalled the 1998 personal tragedy.

The whole racing community is mourning the loss of one of its most beloved racers and someone who made a name for himself as a humanitarian. His airlifting and relief efforts during hurricane Helene with his personal helicopter had earned him the praise of the whole nation. Sometime fate is so cruel that they take the good people early.
