The 2025 IndyCar season is set to have a special year, with the Fox Sports taking over the broadcasting of the series after many years. As part of the promotions, the broadcaster has been publishing some wild adds, including the ones that claims that have the fastest cars in the motorsports.

NHRA driver Bob Tasca was furious seeing these claims as the they have the fastest cars, much faster than IndyCar. Now ex-NASCAR champion Tony Stewart, who is now a drag racer has given his verdict on the claims. He called out Fox for making false advertisements and reminded them they can claim they are the fastest on the corners.

I love false, I think they are doing some false advertising. They keep saying IndyCar has the fastest cars, I don’t know what the hell they are watching. We missed their mark by 100m/h. They can throw they are the fastest ones to turn during the lap.

Tony Stewart said in a recent interview.

The comments from Stewart can be considered valid considering, he has had an impressive career in the IndyCar scene before making the NASCAR move. Further talking about the point, he admitted that despite the controversy, he excited about for Fox Sports over the broadcasting.

You know, I am excited for IndyCar, and I am excited for Fox. Fox has been a great partner to NHRA. To see them branch out to different forms of Motorsports and get into the IndyCar side is huge.

Tony Stewart added.

What did Bob Tasca say about the controversy?

The outrage from Bob Tasca, the NHRA Funny Car drive, was the reason behind Tony Stewart giving his take on the matter. Tasca called out Fox for claims IndyCar of being the fastest motorsports on the planet, asserting NHRA has the fastest cars. He sees these comments as an insult to the drag racing fans and drivers.

I’ve gotta call out FOX Sports because all winter long we heard about the fastest motorsports on the planet. And I was a little confused because I didn’t see that PPG Mustang (Tasca’s car) when I saw that ad and I didn’t see that (Austin) Prock car over there. And the truth is it’s an insult to our fans and the drivers for FOX to go on TV and say the fastest sport in the world and it’s IndyCar?

Bob Tasca said.

The comments from Bob Tasca were the product of his disappointment with the channel, that has previously been the partner with NHRA. He has every right to be frustrated, but at the same time, Fox adds about IndyCar can bee seen as just hyping up of the new season.

Tony Stewart gives an update on his wife’s NHRA return

Last year Tony Stewart became a father as his wife and fellow NHRA racer Leah Pruett gave birth to a baby boy. She has been on the sideline over two years after they started planning to have a family and now Stewart has pointed out that his team is ready for her return whenever she feels like it’s the time.

Whatever time, whatever event that is, if midseason she says she wants to get back in that car, I will gladly step out of that car for my wife. That’s why we started this program.

Tony Stewart said.

The veteran built the NHRA program to give his wife a solid chance at winning in the NHRA top division. It would be interesting to see how long it would take for her to make the long-awaited racing return.
