The inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race at Iowa saw reigning Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney secure his maiden win of the season and mark his place in the playoffs. It was interesting race that featured few dramatic moments. One such moment during the event saw NASCAR legends Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart’s drivers coming together.

Earlier on stage two of the Iowa Corn 350, the No:10 Stewart Haas Racing driver Noah Gragson was spun by the No:42 Legacy Motor Club car of John Hunter Nemechek. Gragson who raced for the same team in 2023 before getting suspended, was able to pull off a brilliant save and get out of the incident harm free.

But the ex-JRM driver and hiss crew was furious with Nemecheck and his move. The No:10 team crew chief, Drew Blickensderfer, branded the Toyota driver as a moron for his move that almost runed the whole race of the SHR team.

What in the f*** is wrong with him? That guy is the biggest moron in racing over the past 10 years.
Drew Blickensderfer said on team radio.

Gragson’s spotter also took action as he spoke with the spotter of Namechek who was with him in spotter stand to ask his driver to race better. The SHR driver went on to salvage a P24 finish in the race while JHM’s race ended in P28.

Noah Gragson gives an update on his future

Stewart Haas Racing is set to cease their operations at the end of the 2024 season and it leaves Noah Gragson as a free agent next-season. He needs to secure a seat soon and while talking about it he admitted that he hasn’t found a seat yet and is still looking for it.

I don’t know anything yet, haven’t signed anything yet, so just trying to weigh out all the options accordingly and have those conversations. But still looking for an opportunity.
Noah Gragson said.

The young driver has to step up his game and be cleaner on the track as it would help him to establish himself as valuable asset with multiple drivers in the market next-season. It would be interesting to see where he would end up next-season.
