“Him and I will settle it one day” John Hunter Nemechek after Ty Gibbs prods him to secure the Xfinity Series win at Richmond Raceway

Ty Gibbs who sports the No.54 Toyota Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing competing full-time in the Xfinity Series has secured yet another win during the Go Bowling 250 at Richmond Raceway.
Unfortunately, Ty Gibbs bumped into fellow teammate John Hunter Nemechek off the lead to grab his third victory this season. Both of them led the race for the most part of it but Ty Gibbs went on to push his fellow teammate out of the way to secure his seventh career win.
“Got our third win so want to keep it going. What a great car,” said Ty Gibbs
Ty Gibbs was well-aware that he nudged his teammate John Hunter Nemechek but he also said that he deserved one back but since they were racing for wins, there wasn’t much he can do.
“I deserve one back for sure but we’re racing for wins and I’ve got to do what I can to win,” said Ty Gibbs after climbing out of his car.
He further added saying that he was happy with short track racing and since the team got their third win this season, he’s left ecstatic and praises the car.
“Short-track racing, got our third win so want to keep it going. What a great car,” concluded Ty Gibbs.
John Hunter Nemechek also had few words to say after climbing out of his car. He went on to say that he and Ty Gibbs will settle it one day and that he doesn’t want to say more and get in trouble but was kind of disappointed with how he didn’t even try to make the corner and concluded by saying that racers never forget.
“Him and I will settle it one day, I don’t want to say too much and get myself in trouble. Just got driven through. He didn’t even try and make the corner there. But racers never forget, that’s for sure,” said John Hunter Nemechek.
With this weeks’ Go Bowling 250 win, Ty Gibbs stands second on the points table led by A.J. Allmendinger and followed by Noah Gragson in 3rd position. Will Ty Gibbs find another win at Martinsville Speedway next week?
