Tyler Reddick is one of the most exciting talents in the Cup Series. Expectations are always high for the 23XI Racing star. This season, Reddick managed to secure a spot into the Playoffs at the final regular season race at Daytona. However, the No. 45 driver is not so happy.
In the Cup Series, a driver needs to win a race to get a spot in the Playoffs. 16 spots are up for grabs every year. Hence, if a season does not see 16 different winners, the remaining slots are given according to the points cut-off.
For Tyler Reddick, this cut-off became crucial heading into the Coke Zero Sugar 400. The Toyota driver failed to win a single race in the Cup Series this year. Luckily, he finished in P21 at Daytona, just enough to clinch the 15th Playoff spot.
Reddick was disappointed with the way things turned out to be. The 23XI Racing star made it clear that he didn’t want to get a spot in the business end of the tournament this way. He had hoped to clinch the spot with a trip down Victory Lane.
I’m not really sure how to feel at this moment. t’s not how we want to get in the playoffs. It’s not how we want to cap off the regular season that way we did tonight. We got work to do. I think we’re all capable of it.
Tyler Reddick told Bob Pockrass.
Tyler Reddick made it clear that he believes he can do much better in the Playoffs. The No. 45 driver confessed that this season has been rather tough, with a handful of mistakes from his end. Now, it’s time for the Toyota driver to forget about the past and focus completely on the Playoffs. Reddick’s teammate Bubba Wallace secured a Playoff spot after winning at Indianapolis earlier this year.
It’s been tough. We’ve just continued to make mistakes and not capitalize. Now, we’ve got to put it all together when the pressure is on in the playoffs. We’ll see how that goes.
Tyler Reddick stated.

Tyler Reddick reveals plan for 2025 Playoffs
The NASCAR Playoffs are the most intense part of the season. 16 drivers go head-to-head with no margin for error. A single mistake can end the journey for even stars like Tyler Reddick. While pressure will be on his shoulders, the No. 45 driver has revealed his strategy.

The Toyota driver made it clear that he will simply focus on one race at a time without thinking about the rest of the rounds. Tyler Reddick asserted that he must first make it through each round before thinking about the bigger picture. Though, he admitted that the entire regular season campaign flew by with no wins to his name, something that leaves a lot to be desired.
Take it one race at a time at this point. We’ve got to put a race together before we can get that up for ourselves and thinking about what lies ahead. We’ve got work to do for sure. I think we’re all capable of it. But yeah, the year has flown by, and we’re still sitting here with no win, trying to put a race together. We’ve got our work cut out for us.
Tyler Reddick said, as quoted by NBC.
Tyler Reddick has the chance to redeem himself in the Playoffs. While the 23XI driver failed to make it to Victory Lane so far, he has the perfect opportunity to battle it out for the title. Though, the battle in the Playoffs will not be easy, and it’s unclear whether Reddick will be able to make it to the Final Four.
