23XI Racing Tyler Reddick made historic at COTA two weeks ago becoming the only driver in history to win the first three races of the season. He had the opportunity to make it four straight wins on Sunday, but failed to do as the 2023 Cup champion Ryan Balney continued his dominance at Phoenix to break the streak.

On his post-race interview, after finishing the race inside the top-10 but behind teammate Bubba Wallace for the first time in 2026, the racer explained what went wrong for him. He admitted that though his Camry had speed, they didn’t get the set-up of the car right with handling and that stopped them from running better than top-5.

Yeah, we just kind of found handling a little bit. It seemed like our Jordan brand toy Camry had good speed. It was just kind of back and forth on which direction we think we needed to go with our Camry, and so we kind of just hovered around fifth all day, and we took those two tires there.

Tyler Reddick said after the racer.

Despite the result, the former RCR drivers isn’t unhappy as he was able to end the day as the fourth bets racer in terms of points earned. This helped him to extend his lead on the points table. Tyler Reddick has two race-win worth of points advantage on Ryan Blaney who is P2 in the table ahead of Bubba Wallace at P3.

It just got a little tight on us at the end. But all in all, yeah, would have been nice to make it four. But looking at the board over here, scored the fourth most number of points on the day.

Further talking about the point, the veteran admitted that his teams need have solid points days like what he had at Phoenix to secure than championship if they failed to enter the victory lane on the day. The team has solid shot at producing a championship season, if they continue perform on the same level.

That’s kind of what we need to just keep doing all year to keep the lead that we have and try and hang on to it. So yeah, just a solid day. These are if we’re not going to win, these are the kind of days we need to have, and glad to get out of here with some points.

Tyler Reddick asserted.

Bubba Wallace is really proud of his teammate Tyler Reddick

You know, Tyler’s been driving his (butt) off, simple as that. I couldn’t be more proud of him and the way he’s turned around from his (winless) season from last year. It’s been pretty cool to witness that. I wish it was our team.

Bubba Wallace said.

The success in the charter lawsuit and the increase in the Next-Gen car horsepower has helped 23XI a lot in the first four races of the season. It would be interesting to see if the Reddick-Wallace duo can continue performing on the high level in the remaining races of the season.
