Though Bubba Wallace missed out on the playoffs in 2024, the year was social fir him as on September 29 he became a father. His wife Amanda Wallace gave birth to a baby boy, Becks. The baby seems to have changed Wallace luck as since the start of 2025 season he has been one of the front runners.
Bubba Wallace’s momentum continued to COTA, Austin as he secured P2 in qualifying while his teammate Tyler Reddick secured the pole. The latter following the session, shared his feelings about his teammate performance and highlighted how being dad change people ways one doesn’t expect. Reddick believes the No:23 Toyota driver seems to be a good place.
Fatherhood will change you in ways you don’t expect. I think he’s got a good approach right now and am excited to see how he continues to grow and change at being a dad and how that affects racing for him. He seems like he’s in a good place right now.

Bubba Wallace earlier had explained how having a child changed him and how it gave him a new perspective. Becks have changed his life, made him walk lighter and how it brought so much joy into his life.
It is the coolest thing having a kid. You never know if you’re ready. I regret not having one earlier. He’s brought so much joy and new perspective. I feel like I’m walking lighter because of him. Four months old, and he’s already changed my life.

Tyler Reddick is impressed by Bubba Wallace’s road course improvement
Following the race, Reddick also highlighted how his teammate has grown as a road course driver since he joined the team. One of the major reasons behind the growth of the Noi:23 team was mimicking how the No:45 team drove and the latter is impressed. He is hoping that soon Wallace is going to give him a run for his money.

Talking to him after the fact, his focus was to go out and follow me and kind of see what I was going to do and try to mimic it. Certainly, he’s on the path to getting better at the road courses. If he keeps it up here soon, I’ll be having to try to battle him head-to-head for these poles. It’s been really nice to see his growth and him improve and embrace the way we have to do things.

The road courses have been Bubba Wallace’s major weakness before Reddick joined the team. But working together has made both better and it is evident in the solid performance the TRD driver has shown in these tracks. It would be interesting to see of Wallace can convert this to a momentum to a race win soon.
