23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick came into the NASCAR Cup regular season finale at Darlington Raceway with the No:45 Car that featured Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Tiger Woods. He was determined to bag the championship and the addition 15 playoff points that come with it against Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson.

Tyler Reddick went on to produce a solid run and secure the championship with just a mere one-point lead. The 23XI Racing driver finished the race at P10 and it was enough to outscore Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson who secured a P4 finish.

What makes the Toyota drivers championship more impressive is the fact that Reddick was battling with sickness the whole race.  During the race Reddick was heard saying via his team radio that he “throwing up, sh***ing himself.”

I’m throwing up, sh***ing myself, all of the above.
Tyler Reddick said on team radio.

23XI crew gave him food, ice and medicine to make sure their driver survives, even they pondered on the possibility of replacing him with Martin Truex Jr. as a last-ditch effort. Fortunately, they didn’t have to take the extreme measure as he seems to have taken inspiration from the GOAT athletes that features on his car’s hood.

23XI Racing isn’t enjoying Darlington outing despite the championship

While Tyler Reddick proved the 23XI Racing team is a championship worthy, his teammate Bubba Wallace has failed to make it to the playoffs. Wallace came into the race with a lot of baggage on his shoulders.

He had to either win the race or outscore rival Chris Buescher by more than 17 spots, while hoping there is no new winner. Wallace was in for a huge disappointment, as Chase Briscoe pulled of a statement win for Stewart Haas Racing.

The fact that one driver won the championship while the other couldn’t even make it into the playoff, makes the situation seriously concerning for the team. Wallace now has to prove himself to the grid in the last 10 races of the season.
