The Wurth 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway was an exciting race for fans. Joey Logano clinched the win and took the 37th victory of his career. However, things got heated up on pit road following the race. Toyota teammates Christopher Bell and John Hunter Nemechek had an animated dicusssion in front of cameras.

Nemechek and Bell finished the race right beside one another. While John Hunter Nemechek in the No. 42 car crossed the line in eighth place, JGR’s Christopher Bell finished in ninth. During overtime, former seemed to have blocked Bell in the final stages of the race. This left the 30-year-old with no space to make a move, and was forced to stick behind in ninth place.

Following the incident, both drivers got together to discuss the incident. Christopher Bell confronted the Legacy Motor Club driver with a clip going viral on X. The two exchanged words and even used gestures to explain the entire scenario. It was clear that Bell was not happy with how the event unfolded in the race. While Nemechek seemingly did his best to assure the 30-year-old that he made the right move.

Christopher Bell bounces back after Talladega crash

The previous NASCAR Cup Series race had not gone well for Christopher Bell. In the final run of the opening stage of the race, Christopher Bell was on the outside lane with Chris Buescher on the inside. The two drivers had a head-on collision which ended their respective runs.

The heavy collision shocked fans and drivers alike as the field was yet to go on full speed. The collision was big with the No. 20 car hitting the wall as well. Talladega track authorities were instructed by NASCAR to make modifications to the backstretch wall to make it safer.

That wall will be adjusted or essentially corrected before we return in the fall. They are going to take that lip out and actually straighten it out, and kind of straighten the wall that leads into that as well. Fix that area, and there is an additional area of the track too that will also be fixed before we return to Talladega.

NASCAR’s communication chief Amanda Ellis said on Hauler Talk podcast.

Following the incident, Christopher Bell did not have the worst of runs in Texas. Things started off rough for the JGR driver who was 26th at the end of stage 2. Though, the 30-year-old recovered well to get into the top 10. Bell could’ve made further progress if not for the incident with John Hunter Nemechek.
