Jesse Love achieved the coveted Xfinity Series championship win and left Connor Zilisch in the dust. Zilisch was the favorite driver to win the title, especially after his record-breaking rookie season this time around. However, Love made all the difference on the track at Phoenix and won the title. Still, the championship winner is being criticized alongside the winner-takes-it-all format of the current playoffs.

However, Jesse Love isn’t too concerned with the outside noise and is delighted with his championship win. The #2 driver opened up about his true feelings and responded to the criticism regarding his title win and the playoffs. The championship winner had a clear-cut answer to the negativity hurled towards him on social media and other forms of media.

Jesse Love bluntly claimed that he did not give a s**t about what people had to say about his championship win. He continued that he was the one receiving a big trophy and a big paycheck following his sublime victory at Phoenix. Love accepted that there would be many people belittling him on his win, but he was the least bothered about it.

Further, Jesse Love accepted that he did not completely ignore what the fans and people had to say and did not devalue them. He acknowledged that people’s opinions were valid and would look at what everyone had to say. But at the end of the day, he was the championship winner, and that was what mattered to him the most, and not the noise that came along with it.

Well, I really don’t give a shit what people think. I get a big old trophy. I get a nice check. I get a lot of things that come out of this. So, yeah, I don’t know. I also am not, like, somebody that, like, devalues, like, what the fans say either, which I kind of sound contradicting now. But, like, when I say stuff and people, like, call me out on Twitter or something, I do actually listen. So, like, their opinions are valid.

Jesse Love said in a post-race press conference, @BobPockrass/X.

Jesse Love claims the negativity after winning Xfinity title ‘doesn’t bother him’

Although the negativity gets a bit discouraging at times, it makes the sport all the more exciting and is the very essence of NASCAR. Jesse Love isn’t too glad with the negativity, but he does understand where the fans are coming from. Love asserted that the noise did not bother him much and asserted that the sport wouldn’t be as exciting if such moments did not take place.

Jesse Love asserted that the world would be a boring place if everyone accepted each other’s opinions without any back and forth. He reiterated that he did not care about the noise at the end of the day. Still, he liked to be relevant in those conversations, be it positive or negative. Love insisted that he had his personal opinions, and everyone was bound to have their opinions, as it did not bother him much at the end of the day.

Obviously, the world would be kind of a boring place if we all agreed on everything, and that’s never going to happen. So, yeah, I’m going to look at it. I don’t really care at the end of the day. But I still like to be a part of, I guess, the circle of life and see how people react to certain things. And I have my thoughts on it, and they’re going to have theirs, and that doesn’t bother me at all.

Jesse Love added.

The 2025 season of the Xfinity Championship has now culminated, and all the drivers will definitely relax after the season. Connor Zilisch was definitely heartbroken following his loss, but it is all part of the game. For now, Jesse Love will enjoy his championship win to the fullest and return in the coming season as an even more dominant force.
