Ty Dillon could only manage to finish in third at the All-Star weekend after being involved in a late-race collision with Zane Smith. Dillon was on par to finish at least P2 and qualify for the mega All-Star event if it wasn’t for the collision with Smith. Following the race, the No.10 driver could not contain his anger and lashed out at the FRM star.
Zane Smith remained unapologetic about his mistakes that caused the wreck with Ty Dillon, despite seemingly being in the wrong. As Dillon approached the former during the post-race cooldown, he didn’t accept his mistakes, which only fueled the fire further. Subsequently, the No.10 driver wasn’t mincing his words to the media while ill-talking Smith’s candor following the end of the race.
The incident caused Ty Dillon not to qualify for the All-Star race, which only made the matter worse. Speaking to the media, Dillon revealed the altercation he had with Zane Smith. The No.10 driver bluntly clarified that if Smith were to ever wreck into him again, he would simply ‘beat his a**’. This means that the No.38 driver is on thin ice as the Kaulig Racing star will keep an eye on him on the track.
If he wrecks me again, I’m just going to beat his a**.
Ty Dillon told Dirty Mo Media post-race.
Dillon further stated his piece of mind on the incident and what actually caused the wreck so late in the race. The No.10 driver pointed out that he gave Zane Smith enough room so as not to crash into him as he crawled out of the pit lane. Still, the No.38 driver collided with the Kaulig Racing driver at Turn 4, which caused him to fall down the pecking order and lose crucial track position. The 33-year-old asserted that the younger drivers raced in NASCAR without having to deal with any consequences.
Coming off [Turn] 4, I think I gave him plenty of room, and he just doors me halfway down the straightaway, There’s something about the younger guys they never had to deal with consequences.
Ty Dillon added.
“If he wrecks me again I’m just going to beat his ass.”

Zane Smith comes up with a savage reply to Ty Dillon’s threats
Zane Smith stood on his claim that he wasn’t in the wrong, and Ty Dillon’s hostility towards him was unwarranted. While Smith made no comments on the media, he took to Social Media and responded to Dillon’s claims of beating up the former. The 25-year-old fell down to P6 following the late race incident with the No.10 car and wasn’t too impressed by his race results.

After Ty Dillon’s statement went live, Zane Smith took to X and responded to the post about the former’s comments. While Dillon openly stated that he would beat up the No.38 driver if such a situation ever came again, Smith remained unfazed. The 25-year-old candidly responded that the No.10 driver was not beating ‘anybody’s a**’, signifying that he wasn’t scared of the hollow threats.
Ain’t beating nobody’s a**
Zane Smith said on his X account, @ZaneSmith.
Ain’t beating nobody’s ass.

Following the altercation, it will be interesting to witness how the remainder of the season plays out between the two drivers. The young drivers have remained competitive on the track, while the more experienced ones are facing stern competition. Neither of the drivers could qualify for the main All-Star race as they lost out on a massive chance of earning over $1 million in cash prize.
