‘We can use this as a moment to drown in our own tears or get stronger,’ Brad Keselowski remains committed despite facing the wrath of heavy penalties

Brad Keselowski
Brad Keselowski who drives the No.6 Ford Mustang for RFK Racing, which he also co-owns has been punished with huge penalties for an illegal modification found on their car during the post-race inspection.
The NextGen car is a complete stock car with standard vendor-supplied parts and any modifications will not be tolerated by NASCAR’s new stringent rules and regulations.
It’s not what we want. Nobody wants to be in this position,” says Brad Keselowski

Brad Keselowski was stripped off of 100 driver points which plunged his standings from 16th to 35th. He will be starting this weekends’ race at COTA as the lowest-ranked full-time Cup Series driver ever. Despite getting thrown down the points table, it didn’t have an effect on his morale.
Brad Keselowski stated that the fines imposed on him and his team will not affect their performance in the coming races and also said that it is not something anyone wishes for. He further added saying that they’re going to make the best out of this and use this as an opportunity to get stronger and come back better.
“No, it’s not crippling. It’s not what we want. Nobody wants to be in this position, “We’re going to get out of this what we make of it. And we can use this as a moment to drown in our own tears or get stronger and be better. I’m committed to the latter of the two,” stated Brad Keselowski after qualifying 26th on Saturday at COTA.
Brad Keselowski hasn’t disclosed any accusations on his team nor did NASCAR come out publicly regarding this. NASCAR’s President Steve Phelps has said that the team is well aware of the reasons for which they’ve been punished and therefore decided to retain any information on the incident.
“They knew what the penalties were upfront for manipulation of a spec part,” Steve Phelps told the Associated Press.
This withholding of information didn’t sit well with a few racers. Brad Keselowski later said that NASCAR is responsible to ensure the fair conduct of races and that it is the teams’ responsibility to abide by those rules imposed.
Will Brad Keselowski turn over the events that have happened to start with this weekends’ Echopark Automotive Texas Grand Prix on COTA?
