Bubba Wallace is yet to make a definitive run that can secure him a playoff spot this season, he now stands at P22 at the championship table with 133 points to his name.

Now Bubba Wallace has comfort reflecting on his disappointing 2022 season so far and his optimism that he and the team will be able to get back to the top in this weekend’s race at Martinsville.

Bubba Wallace acknowledged that the No:23 team has not been up to the mark in the last five weeks following their amazing start to the season at Daytona. He went on to say he enters the grid understanding that only one among him and his rivals will win the race so he is happy with the fact that there is always the next week to better your results if you are having a bad run as long as you are still with the team.

Alright, we’ve gotten kicked in the teeth for the last five weeks – Daytona was really good – but every weekend is a new opportunity and you sit there on the grid before the race, and it’s like, one of these guys is going to win,” Bubba Wallace said.

And that’s cool as [expletive] because you’re a part of that group. Then you go out and compete and whatever happens, happens. If it was good, then great. If it was bad, well, we got next week to try it, until they get tired of my stuff and kick me out. Hopefully, that doesn’t happen” Bubba Wallace added.

Bubba Wallace went on to say that he believes this weekend at Martinsville might be the one that will prompt their comeback saying  “…I think this is the weekend to look at where we can shine and start to claw our way back,”.
