Nassourdine Imavov DOMINATES Joaquin Buckley to bag the Impressive victory at UFC Paris

Nassourdine Imavov took on Joaquin Buckley in a Middleweight clash at UFC’s debut in France. Buckley is somewhat of a household name after his stunning knockout of Impa Kasanganay in 2020. While Imavov was fighting in his backyard as he trains at MMA Factory in Paris.
Going into the fight at UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Tuivasa, Buckley was on a 3 fight-winning streak. After a loss at the hands of Alessio Di Chirico back in 2021. Buckley racked up three wins in his next three fights. Two of his last three fights were by Knockout. After a total of 19 fights, his record stood at 15-4.
On the other hand, Imavov who now calls France his home and trains in the country was on a 2 fight-winning streak. The fight at UFC Paris was his fifth UFC octagon fight. After a total of fourteen fights, his records stood at 11-3.
Going into the fight Nassourdine Imavov was a favourite at -240 while Buckley was a +200 underdog at UFC Paris. Imavov who is from MMA Factory Paris joins his teammate William Gomis and headliner Ciryl Gane on the card.

Round 1: Coming into this fight Imavov wasn’t very happy with the New Mansa as he said some words online that the Russian didn’t take well. The fight started with Imavov putting on the pressure and after a bit of scuffle, they were separated by the referee Marc Goddard. Imavov was talking to his opponent. In the last minute of the round, Imavov took down Buckley and secured a full mount, and landed significant punches and elbows. The crowd went wild for the MMA Factory fighter.

Round 2: The second round started with both fighters letting it go and trading punches on the feet. However, it was Imavov who was getting his punches through more often. After an eye poke by the Russian, there was a short break in the action. After the action resumed, Buckley was able to land one of the most significant strikes on the Russian in the fight so far. With two minutes left Imavov took down Buckley and secured a body triangle and started landing punches and elbows.
Round 3: The final round was where Buckley did most of the damage as Imavov slowed down significantly in the final round. After losing the two rounds with a huge margin Buckley was looking for a finish to bag the win. Although he did some damage the Russian was able to survive the on sought and bagged the win in Paris.
