Hardik Pandya faced a lot of trolls, boos and abuses during IPL 2024 due to his decision to come back to Mumbai Indians and accept the captaincy position. MI brought him back from Gujarat Titans and handed him the captaincy, replacing the legendary 5 times IPL winning captain, Rohit Sharma. The whole of India was booing and abusing Pandya in whichever stadium he was playing. It was a very tough time for Pandya, but he never lost his cool.
After the IPL 2024, reports emerged about a possible divorce between Hardik Pandya and his wife, Natasa Stankovic. There was widespread rumors that both of them were separating and Pandya would need to pay an alimony. Pandya went through a tremendous amount of pressure in these two months.
However, he arrived in style in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and USA. He was incredible with both the bat and the ball and helped India win an ICC trophy after 11 years.
However, after such a performance from Pandya and also India’s success, there was not a single post on Instagram from Stankovic. Instead, she posted a photo of herself and captioned it as ‘Fit check‘.
Pandya stepped up in big moments during the T20 World Cup 2024. In the final, he sent back Heinrich Klaasen which paved the way for India’s victory. Later, he also bowled the final over and managed to defend it, when 16 runs were needed off 6 balls. He finished with 144 runs and a batting strike rate of 151.58 in the tournament and picked up 11 wickets during the tournament.
Fans slam Natasa Stankovic for not congratulating Hardik Pandya in her latest Instagram post
Indian fans brutally trolled her in the comments section for not congratulating Pandya, and the post also reignited the rumors of possible divorce between the couple.
Pandya and Stankovic met for the first time in 2018 and started dating. Pandya asked her hand for marriage in Dubai and both of them had a secret wedding during the Covid-19 lockdown. They also have a son named Agastya Pandya. Later in 2023, both of them had another wedding in Udaipur.
