The matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks was going to be marquee. It was a battle of the heavyweights. And it did not disappoint with elite performances from all the superstars. But one particular play broke the internet. It was of the one-handed thunderous dunk from Suns superstar Kevin Durant. What made it even more special was that the dunk was against the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo.

With nine minutes left in the game, Kevin Durant started a play that brought the ball back to him near the three-point line. Durant noticed a lot of open space to the rim and drove down the paint. He leapt up to throw down a monster poster jam. Antetokounmpo who tried to stop Durant could only hit him in the face with his outstretched hand, landing an and 1 situation. The fans in the arena were on their feet with that play.

The game between the Bucks and the Suns was supposed to be a scoring contest between their respective superstars. None of them did any less. With Damian Lillard out, Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 34 points. Durant finished with 28. His illustrious teammates Bradley Beal and Devin Booker added 25 and 32 respectively.

Durant and company handed the Bucks their 3rd loss in four games since Doc Rivers took over as head coach. This win elevates the Suns above the play-in spots they were in for quite some time. The Suns are now 13-6 since the new year.
