As per latest reports circling in the hoop world, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has entered health and Safety protocols which will ensure that he misses Game 5 at Chase Center. This made some fans call it as a Celtics loss taunting his recent support to Boston fans and antics.
The 2022 NBA Finals are having all the on as well as off-court drama. Star players like Stephen Curry and Jaylen Brown have played their best ball game, while some stars’ poor performance has provided a chance to target their respective more than usual. As per certain remarks, some games had some poor officiating and even fans’ energy are at the highest level. Boston Celtics Fans’ game-3 chants were heavily denounced by Golden State Warriors players and supporters, asking for some censorship over the taunts. But league commissioner Adam Silver showed his support to the Celtics’ fans; which earned him some image of “Celtic Supporter” in the 2022 NBA Playoffs.
Adam Silver typically attends all the Finals games. But NBA commissioner Silver canceled plans to attend Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday night because of the league’s health and safety protocols. The league did not say if Silver had tested positive for COVID-19 or been deemed a close contact of someone who had, nor did it release any details about his health.

Adam Silver has been the NBA’s commissioner since February 2014. Supporter of the game never let any outside situations affect the game and He was praised for the 2020 NBA Games and Finals conducted inside a bubble at Walt Disney World in Florida in the early stages of the pandemic. Since becoming commissioner, Adam was often seen in the NBA Finals including the 2020 Finals. This is the ninth championship series during his tenure.

Though it is unclear when Silver will be able to resume attending games, he will be certainly absent at Chase Center for game 5 of the intriguing series. Commissioner Silver usually handovers the trophy and NBA Finals accolades as part of his role. But with the series tied at 2-2, Game 5 won’t be a decider for sure.
“Lousy timing,” he told ESPN’s, Adrian Wojnarowski. The 2022 NBA Finals could end in Game 6 on Thursday in Boston or Game 7 is scheduled for Sunday in San Francisco if necessary. Silver will hope to return to the sidelines in time to hand out the Larry O’Brien Trophy to the winning team. Warriors are looking for their 7th overall NBA Championship, while Celtics look to set record with Banner number 18.
