NBA 2020-21 Pre-Season- Chicago Bulls bounces back to beat John Wall led Houston Rockets 104-91

Zach LaVine

The only hope for the Houston Rockets fans saw in their pre-season game against Chicago Bulls was veteran John Wall returning to his best. From scoring 3-pointers to mouth-watering assists, Wall was doing it all for his new franchise. With James Harden in self-isolation, there is no clarity to the exact time when he will return back onto the court.
Whereas even though Wall tried his best, Coby White and Zach LaVine closed out the show for the visitors. With majority of their bench not coming onto the court, the starters had their share of responsibility. But these two been spoken in particular delivered.
Chicago Bulls vs Houston Rockets – As it Happened

1st quarter-
The game started with John Wall scoring a significant 3-pointer from downtown, which led the morale high for the Rockets. But the Bulls were in no mood to let go off another game in the pre-season. With starters LaVine and White on the court, Bulls took their chances offensively and it delivered. While Eric Gordon was struggling to somehow find th same form as last game. The Rockets led 31-30.
2nd quarter-
The 2nd quarter was as intense as the 1st, Patrick Williams from the Bulls bench picked up the responsibility to make up for the Bulls bench. Having come off the bench, Williams seemed to take no time to adjust to the pace of the game. Going into half the Rockets led by only 3 points.
3rd quarter-
The action even after the half was pretty close. With both teams not considering this as just a pre-season game, Bulls however seemed more offensive with the Rockets slowing down courtesy to making simultaneous substitutions. After the end of the 3rd quarter Houston led 79-73.
4th quarter-
The last quarter in such a tough pre-season could often slow down the pace. But it wasn’t the case for the Bulls who went all guns blazing in search of bouncing back to the win column. Having clearly outplayed the Rockets in this quarter, the Bulls scored 31-12. As a result of keeping the pressure right onto the neck of the Rockets throughout the game, they won 91-104.
