With the game getting underway Hayward started displaying why he should be considered as the fourth-scoring option. He led the attacks for Hornets and also guided them well. Hornets clearly outplayed Raptors in the 1st quarter, who relatively had a slow start to the game with their players taking time to settle in with the pace. Hornets led 32-23.

2nd quarter-

Whoever came from the bench for the Raptors was finding at least a basket to score, whereas it was only a handful of players for the Hornets who seemed to had found their range and accuracy. Raptor’s Matt Thomas found his quality from downtown. After the 2nd quarter Raptors bounced back perfectly leading 51-58.

3rd quarter-

As the game resumed after the half time, Thomas and Davis II started their scoring coming off the bench and as Hornets brought LaMelo Ball more into the game, fanatics wanted to see him do more. But none of his shots were able to see him get points registered against his name. While the other Hornet’s players also slowed down. Raptors led the quarter by 4 more points.

4th quarter-

Thomas individually had a more than 50% accuracy from behind the arc. Given the experience Raptors had in this low-pressure game. They only had to see off Hornet’s offensive power to win the game. With LaMelo Ball not being able to score a single point in this game after playing atleast 15 minutes, Raptors sealed the deal by 11 points.
