NBA 2020-21 Pre-season – Los Angeles Lakers beat Los Angeles Clippers 87-81 without Lebron James and Anthony Davis

Both Anthony Davis and Lebron James are not expected to play in the first match of the Los Angeles Lakers pre-season against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Lakers are expected to give time to their youngsters and their new acquisitions in the pre-season. Whereas the Los Angeles Clippers need to rebuild their confidence and would be hoping to do so, since the very first pre-season game. 

The Clippers use majority of their roaster, to get some game time in the first encounter. Whereas for the defending champions after long Kyle Kuzma started. With Marc Gasol also not playing, their intention seemed clear. Give time to the bench to be ready for the regular season.

1st quarter-

The first quarter started with Los Angeles Clippers starting with their possible starting 5 for the regular season. Whereas the Lakers started with Montrezl Harrell and Kyle Kuzma as their possible scoring option. With Schroder and young Tucker at defense. But the Lakers delivered and kept the pressure on. The Lakers led 25-22 

2nd quarter- 

As everyone from the LA Clippers kept coming and scoring, getting some rest as well. They boucned back in the 2nd quarter, scoring 6 more points. After the end of 2nd quarter, the Los Angeles Clippers led by 3 points, 43-46. 

3rd quarter- 

With Lakers Cacok and Cook on the court, they seemed to balance out very well. It was nice to Kyle Kuzma finally being able to get some game time and eventually scoring back-to-back points for the Lakers. After the 3rd quarter, Lakers still trailed by 2 points. 

4th quarter- 

It has to be said, what a performance from the Lakers. Even though when AD and Lebron were not available. Kuzma did not feel shy to take a shot, with Harrell constantly converting, it seemed to help the former’s confidence. The Clippers slumped again and lost 87-81
