JA Morant is the talk of the town as the player just dropped a 52-point performance in the Memphis Grizzlies’ matcha against the San Antonio Spurs as the latter succumbed to the pressure put up by the Grizzlies, and lost by a major 13-point margin, further worsening their record to 24-38 as the now stand at the 12th position in the Western Conference. Ja Morant tossed down a monstrous dunk north of 7-footer Jakob Poeltl and scored a profession high 52 points, lifting the Memphis Grizzlies over the San Antonio Spurs 118-105 Monday night. The field was all the while humming from Morant’s quick break hammer late in the second quarter when Steven Adams conveyed a length-of-the-court pass to Morant, who got it mid-air and flipped in a bell mixer from the left gauge for a 68-58 halftime lead.
In reaction to his performance, Morant said, “It’s got to be the 50 (points),” Morant said when asked what was most memorable, adding: “I’m thankful for my teammates, my coaches. They believe in me and have all the confidence in the world that I’ll make the right plays.”

Even Morant’s teammate said, “He’s at the rim every night, but the way he put it together tonight, he was just in attack mode from the jump,” Melton said. “He got whatever he wanted, and it looked easy out there. It was just special to be out there and watch that.”
In the post-match interview after JA Morant was done celebrating the team’s victory and his 50-piece play along with his teammates, Morant gave his reactions on the match and highlighted what he felt after that kind of performance, why he didn’t hold back on dunks and then seemed emotional when he had his daughter in his arms.
