LaMelo Ball Welcomes Montrezl Harrell
The Charlotte Hornets made a trade with the Washington Wizards which saw Montrezl Harrell coming their way and sending Ish Smith, Vernon Carey, and a second-round pick. The trade was done on the deadline day. The Hornets have got a giant of a point-guard, what the Hornets required was a defensive center, however, they got a Harrell who brings in good offensive options, as the Hornets were on a six-game losing streak.
The former Sixth Man of the Year will play a mix of Power forward and center, it does not look like any sort of improvement for the Hornets on the defensive end, what is a plus point is the energy that the 28 years 6’7” man will bring in for the Charlotte Hornets, especially for a locker room that is filled with youngsters. Montrezl Harrell spend a season with the Lakers and then traded away to the Wizards, where he averaged 14.1 points, 2.1 assists, and 6.7 rebounds.

Montrezl Harrell’s trade to the Charlotte Hornets may have come as a blessing to the Hornets side, when he made his debut for them against the Detroit Pistons, they broke their six-game losing streak and emerged victorious with 141-119. As soon as he entered the court, he came out with a rejection and finished the game, after having played 22 minutes, he scored 15 points, 1 assist and6 rebounds. LaMelo Ball came out with a hyped reaction after seeing him in his debut match, “I love Trezz already” said the All-star man LaMelo Ball. He had only nice words after finishing his first game for the Hornets, “That’s definitely a blue collar kinda guy. I’ve been seeing him play since I was a kid. He just brings a whole lot of effort and keeps people locked in. You wanna play defense for him. He’s just a great player.”
LaMelo Ball has made his feelings clear for Montrezl Harrell after the win against the Detroit Pistons. The Hornets head coach James Borrego was loving what he was seeing from his new acquisition, “He brought a fun joyful spirit here. He’s out there communicating and encouraging his teammates.
