LeBron James
The Los Angeles Lakers have not been able to find a consistent rhythm during the entire 2021-22 NBA Season. Having led by LeBron James in majority of the 31-games won by the purple and gold army, it seems like Frank Vogel ‘s team might miss their marquee scorer in the awaited clash against Philadelphia 76ers.

To those who are not aware, LeBron James has been ruled out of 76ers matchup due to left knee soreness as per NBA Insider Shams Charania. With the Lakers already not being able to register wins against their name, LeBron’s absence could cause them suffer another defeat in the business end of the regular season.

Playing without Anthony Davis, James has largely dragged the Lakers (31-41) along with him since the All-Star break, averaging a league-leading 32.8 points and 9.1 rebounds in 14 games, including two performances of at least 50 points. But the Los Angeles Lakers have gone only 4-10 in that span, increasing frustration as they’ve languished in the middle of the Western Conference standings.
Since January, LeBron James has dealt with swelling and soreness in his left knee that has kept him out for six games total (the Lakers have gone 1-5 in his absence). After his latest game, scoring 38 points in a win over Cleveland Cavaliers while speaking to the media with bags of ice strapped to his knees, LeBron James acknowledged he has been playing through physical issues.

That being said, the Lakers are just one-win ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans in the 9th seed in the Western Conference. Moreover, with San Antonio Spurs also catching up their way, to make a last bid for the play-in tournament berth.

A major downfall can see LeBron James’ army crumble out of the postseason by all means. On the other hand, the 76ers have been 6-4 in their last 10 games, are have chasing to catch up the Miami Heat? Will they cruise past the Lakers in the upcoming matchup? Or are we going to witness Russell Westbrook coming to his veteran best?
