Breaking News: Stephen Curry ruled out indefinitely after Marcus Smart foul-play

Golden State Warriors have remarkably turned things around for themselves in the 2021-22 NBA Season, being led by 3-Point King Stephen Curry. Having already secured their playoff berth with more than 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Dubs have been able to do the same even after a sloppy form in the second half. However, things might get worse for Steve Kerr’s team as their marquee player has reportedly suffered via a foot injury.

In the Golden State Warriors’ most recent matchup against the Boston Celtics, they not only saw their 4-game winning streak coming to an end but also witnessed Stephen Curry being ruled out of the game after an unnecessary foul by Marcus Smart. The same incident even triggered the Warriors Coach as he decided to get into a heated exchange with the culprit.

On one hand where Steve Kerr was evidently seen lashing out at Smart, Draymond Green didn’t expect the foul to be a part of dirty-play. To those who missed the same, should know that Smart’s foul on Stephen Curry came on a loose ball. Take a look at the entire video below to determine your own outcome-

At the moment, it does not seem that Stephen Curry has developed a serious foot injury, but has been ruled out indefinitely for safety purpose. Given that the Dubs do not have to throw the kitchen sink to secure a playoff berth, they could still manage to register a consistent run in their remaining regular season games.

With Stephen Curry averaging more than 27 points and 6.6 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game, it seems like the Golden State Warriors will be short-handed for the coming games. But will Chef Curry’s injury hamper the championship ambition of the Dubs? This remains to be the most important question at the moment. That being said, while it is good news that Curry didn’t suffer a serious injury, this could still have a major impact on the Western Conference playoff landscape.
