NBA Champion relishing 40-month prison sentence with IG post has fans losing it: “Look like he running s**t”
Former NBA Champion with the Boston Celtics Glen Davis is serving a 40-month prison sentence after defrauding the NBA.
Glen Davis serving a 40-month sentence poses with prison inmates
Glen Davis, aptly nicknamed ‘Big Baby’ for his goofy nature along with his babyface and rounded physical features is in prison. The former Boston Celtics star was part of a scandal that saw the jury sent him behind bars as a punishment for his actions.
That action was that Glen Davis was part of a group of players who defrauded the NBA’s health and welfare benefit plan. A federal jury indicted them in 2021 and were awaiting sentencing. Ultimately, they sentenced him to a 40-month prison term along with $80,000 in restitution.
Prior to going to prison, he posted a video on his IG handle where he displayed an unhinged reaction to his sentencing. He claimed going to prison for more than three years would help his health as he would not be able to eat hamburgers.
However, not many were happy with the sentencing and his attempts at trying to bring in humor. The likes of Shannon Sharpe ripped into him for defrauding a system that ultimately helps those in need. But it seems none of that matters to him after he posted a picture on his IG handle along with this caption.

This is him showing his usual goofy side as he is seen with a group of inmates posing. This is after he had earlier posted a shirtless picture of himself along with other inmates. Prisons nowadays are a far cry from the Alcatraz days and are known to provide many amenities to inmates. It seemed as if he was having a good time in prison.
Fans lose their minds after Glen Davis IG post
Fans following him or seeing screenshots of this felt that he was having the time of his life. To them, it felt like he had no remorse over his actions. Rather, he was enjoying being around other inmates as he waits to finish his 40-month term.
Some on social media did not appreciate what the former NBA Champion was displaying. They felt he was slapping the system in its face for seemingly enjoying a prison sentence. Some examples of those comments are listed below.

What is the point? Being in prison shouldn’t be portrayed as a cool thing regardless of someone’s status(wrongfully convicted or innocent until proven guilty).

Glen Davis has always projected an easy-going character. He even filmed adult films after he stopped playing in the NBA. But for the most part, trying to put up an unfazed look in the face of fraud and other allegations is what seems to be ticking fans off.
