“Customized, No Ice” Anthony Edwards wins hearts one again after placing order from McDonalds during Post-Game Conference
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards is arguably the most interesting off-the-court personality in the NBA. He might not have made the All-Star game, but definitely enjoys a solid fanbase. Ant is not only loved for his skills on the court but more so for his one-liners and quirky antics off the court, usually in the press conferences.
Edwards after the Thursday night road win against the Detroit Pistons came for a press conference. Ant’s antics were on display again as what he did cracked up everybody. As soon as he sat down, he gave the press a mandate that no questions would be entertained until Edwards completes his order placement from McDonald’s.

Edwards came with his iPhone in his hand and greeted the press. He then said – “Hold on y’all, ask no questions, I am trying to put an order [through]”. Edwards then revealed it is from McDonald’s and further he kept murmuring to himself saying – “Customized with no ice”. Edwards also said to the said in the press conference while ordering – “I love Minnesota. I hope you all love me back” to the largely Detroit reporters and journalists conference.

Anthony Edwards congratulates Karl Anthony Towns for the All-Star selection
It is Anthony Edwards’ simplicity that makes him so likable and makes everybody connect with him. His one-liners and replies are savage while still wrapped in innocence, which makes for some viral internet content. However, he is just as good with the basketball in his hands. He has become one of the most key pieces of the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is averaging 22 points per game, higher than any sophomore in the NBA. The Timberwolves are 27-25 for the season and are realistically looking to end their playoff drought.
Although he did not get the All-Star nod from the panel of Assistant coaches selecting them, he is happy with the fact that his team-mate Karl Anthony Towns made the cut. Towns had the toughest phase in his life when he lost his mother to COVID in 2020. That not only affected his game but his whole life. Towns is now back to the All-Star game. Edwards being a true teammate said – “I am happy for KAT”.
