DeMarcus Cousins signs for Milwaukee Bucks

During his prime days, DeMarcus Cousins was one of the most solid big men in the league. But as the 2021-22 season started the four-time All-Star could not find a place for himself. But given the tough circumstances, the 31-years-old found himself being placed in the roster of defending champions, Milwaukee Bucks. But even after solid performances in couple of games, he could not cement his place.

Now, as the modern-day fans will be aware, the NBA is being haunted by the scare of Cvid-19 and injuries which have dismantled many teams, one of which is Nikola Jokic led Denver Nuggets. Who has decided to secure the service of DeMarcus Cousins on a 10-day period, given that majority of their marquee scorers are side-lined.

After Milwaukee Bucks, Demarcus Cousins set to join new team 

The Denver Nuggets are placed seventh in the Western Conference and are left depleted, with Nikola Jokic taking charge game after game. With numerous players being side-lined, DeMarcus Cousins seems to be the option to which Nuggets has turned their attention towards. 

DeMarcus Cousins was impressive when he represented the Milwaukee Bucks on a 10-day period. Given his abilities, the four-time All-Star can prove to be very fruitful to Nikola Jokic as well. And who knows? Maybe Denver Nuggets can seize Cousins’ services for long in the 2021-22 season. 

Having already framed a dangerous big men partnership with Anthony Davis in New Orleans Pelicans, the Boogie is far from his best. But that doesn’t mean, he cannot dominate the paint area anymore. Lastly, his time with the Warriors, while short, showed a glimpse of what he can do as the backup big man on a contending team. The Nuggets are banking on DeMarcus Cousins regaining that form to see whether he’s worth keeping for the season.

Will the Nuggets be able to improve their position from the seventh spot in the Western Conference, if DeMarcus Cousins is able to contribute in a significant manner? Only time will unravel all answers as the festivity of 2021-22 season resumes for the Nuggets on Sunday.
