“Don’t frame your judgements yet” Disgraceful reason behind Jusuf Nurkic’s flip out on Pacers fan

NBA fans were stunned when Portland Trail Blazers’ marquee went straight up to a young Indiana Pacers fan and ended up throwing his phone away. Known as one of the humblest players in modern-day NBA, it seemed like Nurkic did end up losing his cool in-front of a fan. However, the latest reports state just why the 27-year-old lost his composure and it is truly disturbing.

To bring everyone on the same page, Jusuf Nurkic has been fined $40,000 for his heated altercation. Shortly after the news went across the globe, fans got to know that Nurkic’s action were not in response to usual heckling by opposition fans. The ‘innocent’ ended up making things personal by insulting the mother and late grandmother of the NBA player.

Real reason by Jusuf Nurkic’s outburst of Pacers fan

According to Chris Haynes, the particular Pacers fan allegedly called Nurkic’s mother “trash” and his grandmother a “b**tch” before the Portland center confronted him. As Haynes mentioned, Jusuf Nurkic’s grandmother passed away from COVID-19 in 2020. She contracted the virus over the summer, and Nurkic announced her passing via Instagram in mid-August of 2020. Since then, the center has made multiple posts to honor and remember her.

The league punished Jusuf Nurkic for his actions, but there has been no word on any repercussions for the Pacers fan. NBA fans are getting far too comfortable heckling players twice their size.

This is not the first time an NBA player has been made to realise how things have got personal, based on their game. Even Lakers marquee Russell Westbrook, got into a heated altercation with a fan when he shouted out, “Westbrick”. Knowing that spiling the family name of any personnel will only make things bad, this particular fan went onto constantly calls out Brodie, Westbrick.

Given that, the fans unconditionally love NBA and have their passion attached to it, there might a fine line between decency and ‘love for the sport’ which needs to be maintained.
