The Philadelphia 76ers have been on a roll lately following the blockbuster trade that took place last month bringing James Harden to the roster. The team has shown tremendous improvement and is fighting to be at the top of the Eastern Conference. After an unfortunate loss, the Sixers picked it up against the Cleveland Cavaliers and won 118-114. This puts them three games behind the top spot with a record of 42 wins and 26 losses.
During the fourth quarter of the game with 10 seconds left on the shot clock, the Sixers’ Tyrese Maxey hit the dagger to bring the lead up to four points which would eventually bring them the win. Maxey has been great for the Sixers roster providing them with extra offensive power. He is being considered as one of the most improved players in the league averaging 17.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists shooting 48.3% from the field. Much better than 8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2 assists right?
James Harden gets heated after Tyrese Maxey passes a wide-open three-pointer
James Harden has been working wonders for the Sixers in terms of offense is a perfect match besides Joel Embiid in the pick ‘n’ roll. The Beard is one of the smartest players in the league and does not miss an opportunity if there is one. Before Maxey had hit the dagger with 10 seconds on the shot clock, he passed on an open shot and went ahead for a layup ultimately passing it to Embiid. Even though the shot went on the second try, Harden was still upset by the fact that Tyrese could hit to first available attempt.
Harden recorded a double-double with 21 points, 11 assists, and 2 rebounds shooting 5 of 12 attempts from the field. Besides him, Joel Embiid put on another MVP level performance finishing with 35 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 assists out of which one happened to be from Maxey’s triple. Tyrese had 25 points with 2 assists and 2 rebounds in the game. The Sixers had the upper hand on offense shooting 51.9% from the field last night.

During the post-game interview, Maxey shared his views on teammate James Harden. Based on the veteran’s playing style and eagerness to win he said, “He’s the oldest guy in the starting lineup.
