Luka Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie

Ever since veteran Spencer Dinwiddie made his return into the 2021-22 NBA Season, it seemed that he did not take up the bunch of responsibilities, which is usually associated with him. However, on deadline day as he made way into Dallas, many expected that Kristaps Porzingis and the Washington Wizards might have got the better trade, especially thinking about the approaching-business end.

Proving all the critics wrong, Dinwiddie has been at his veteran best ever since he has stepped onto the court for Mavericks. The latest to justify that claim was when Mavericks locked horns against Brooklyn Nets, who were in red-hot form after winning 3 consecutive weeks in the previous week.

Veteran Spencer Dinwiddie knocks insane game-winner against former team, Nets

With the Dallas Mavericks down 110-111 in dying seconds of the last quarter, it was Luka Doncic who was expected to make the clutch shot, but indeed stepped-up Spencer Dinwiddie, who broke the hearts of his former team’s fan base after knocking the most insane game-winner.

That being said, the Dallas Mavericks have surely used their wits to get the better off trade, in order to strengthen their playoffs claim. Given that they are 10-2 ever since the veteran arrived, he might as well be the missing void which can take the Mavericks deep into the playoffs, after couple of seasons of frustration.

Talking about the Nets vs Mavericks showdown, Luka Doncic led the way for the away team after registering game-high 37 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Spencer Dinwiddie managed to score 22 points. On the other hand, the home team were led by Kevin Durant with emphatic 23 points. While Gordan Dragic scored 21 points.
