“Epic Consequences” Stephen A. Smith bares terrifying omen for Sixers if Joel Embiid and James Harden fail vs Raptors

Joel Embiid and James Harden

The Philadelphia 76ers are locked in a serious battle against the Toronto Raptors in their first-round series. With all eyes of Joel Embiid and James Harden, Stephen A. Smith warns Doc Rivers’ team to avoid a heart-wrenching exit. Ahead of their first matchup on Saturday night, the brutal and honest analyst revealed what is on stake for the Notorious City.

Given that the Philadelphia 76ers threw the kitchen sink on the trade deadline day, when they acquired James Harden in place of Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond, the team surely needs to answer their critics by avenging their painful playoff exit from last season. Stephen A. Smith decided to elaborate upon the same.

Stephen A. Smith’s hot take on Sixers

“Everything” is on the line for the Sixers, according to Stephen A. “The future of Doc Rivers as coach, the future of James Harden as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers…the future of Daryl Morey.

“You can’t get out of the first round against the Toronto Raptors? That is an indictment against this franchise that will have epic consequences. They don’t win this series, heads will roll.”

Stephen A. Smith is right. This is arguably the best chance that the Sixers have had at an NBA Finals title since The Process began. Not to mention, Joel Embiid isn’t getting any younger. He only has a couple of years left in his prime before he starts to decline.

That being said, the Toronto Raptors have their entire squad healthy and will be looking to build pressure on the Philadelphia 76ers since the first game. Moreover, with Pascal Siakam leading the pact on either ends of the court, Joel Embiid and James Harden would surely need to bring their A game, if they are to get past this underdog in the playoffs.

Will we see fans as Wells Fargo Center trolling their own players? Or is Joel Embiid going to lead his side, in a never-before-seen manner. Remains to be seen.
